Sunflower emphasizes long-term investing (at least three years).  If a prospective client is not willing to commit to this time frame, or doesn't have the discipline and personal integrity to "stay the course", then the business relationship should not be established. A wide variety of quality research material is utilized effectively by combining our years of experience with sound judgment. Personal convictions and self-discipline play major roles in our decision making. Arriving at our own conclusions from our own research is a critical element in our investment success.

Common stocks are not suitable for some clients, but for those who should allocate a portion of their assets to stocks, Sunflower has the required expertise. The client acknowledges that the stock market involves considerable risks, and that even "blue chip" stocks can (and sometimes do) drop precipitously. Clients assume their share of responsibility for assuming this risk. If a purchase is considered unsuitable by a client, then Sunflower will remove it from the portfolio if given written notice within 30 days of purchase.
